PSS play a significant role in addressing opioid use disorder and have been integrated in treatment and recovery supports in emergency departments through the KYSOS ED Bridge program. The Medical Center at Bowling Green and Mercy Health – Marcum and Wallace Hospital Bridge programs participated in this educational discussion. The Symposium was hosted by the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission (KYOAAC). Attorney General Russell Coleman and Executive Director of the KYOAAC, Chris Evans, kicked off the Symposium, among other state dignitaries in attendance.
